Drug intelligence / Profile preview
89Zr-DFO-BfAb is an experimental Zirconium-89 (89Zr) labeled bifunctional antibody (BfAb) conjugated with the hexadentate chelator desferrioxamine (DFO). Developed by GSK, it is designed as an immuno-PET imaging agent to evaluate the in vivo biodistribution, pharmacokinetics, and targeting of bifunctional antibodies. Bifunctional antibodies are a class of biotherapeutics that bind to two different epitopes or antigens, offering therapeutic advantages such as mediating effector cells to kill tumor cells. Radiolabeling with 89Zr allows for non-invasive, whole-body PET/CT and PET/MR imaging to optimize the development of these biotherapeutics.
