Drug intelligence / Profile preview
89Zr-DFO-dinutuximab is an investigational positron emission tomography (PET) imaging radiopharmaceutical consisting of the anti-GD2 chimeric monoclonal antibody dinutuximab conjugated to the bifunctional chelator deferoxamine (DFO) and radiolabeled with the positron-emitting radioisotope zirconium-89 (89Zr). It is designed to target and bind specifically to the disialoganglioside GD2, which is highly expressed on the surface of various solid tumors, including neuroblastoma, osteosarcoma, Ewing's sarcoma, and malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors (MPNST). By enabling non-invasive, high-resolution PET imaging of GD2 expression in vivo, 89Zr-DFO-dinutuximab serves as a diagnostic biomarker to assess target density, monitor treatment response, and identify patients most likely to benefit from GD2-targeted immunotherapies.
