Drug intelligence / Profile preview
89Zr-DFO-xiRA63 is a zirconium-89 (89Zr)-labeled chimeric monoclonal antibody conjugate developed by the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) for immuno-positron emission tomography (immunoPET) imaging. It consists of the chimeric monoclonal antibody xiRA63 (chimeric Rendomab A63), which specifically targets the endothelin receptor type A (ETA), conjugated to the chelator desferrioxamine (DFO) and radiolabeled with the positron emitter 89Zr. The agent is designed to cross the blood-brain tumor barrier (BBTB) and target ETA-positive glioblastoma stem cells, enabling non-invasive detection, characterization, and stratification of glioblastoma.
