89Zr-EV20 is a radiopharmaceutical immuno-PET (positron emission tomography) imaging tracer developed by MediaPharma. It consists of the humanized monoclonal antibody EV20, which specifically targets the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 3 (HER3/ErbB3), conjugated to the positron-emitting radioisotope Zirconium-89 (89Zr). HER3 is frequently overexpressed in various solid tumors, including breast, lung, and gastrointestinal cancers, and is associated with resistance to other EGFR-targeted therapies. By binding to the extracellular domain of HER3, 89Zr-EV20 enables non-invasive, whole-body visualization and quantification of HER3 expression levels. This tracer is primarily designed for patient stratification, allowing clinicians to identify candidates most likely to benefit from HER3-targeted therapeutics and to monitor target engagement and treatment response in real-time.
