89Zr-HA10 is a radioimmunoconjugate consisting of the single-chain variable fragment (scFv) HA10, which targets a glycosylation-independent epitope on the transmembrane glycoprotein CD133, conjugated to the chelator p-SCN-Deferoxamine (DFO) and radiolabeled with the positron-emitting isotope zirconium-89 (89Zr). CD133 is a marker of cancer stem cells and is overexpressed in aggressive variant prostate cancer (AVPC). 89Zr-HA10 is designed as an immunoPET imaging agent to facilitate the detection and monitoring of AVPC and other CD133-positive malignancies, offering a more selective alternative to conventional [18F]-FDG PET/CT.
