Drug intelligence / Profile preview
89Zr-MMOT0530A is a radiolabeled monoclonal antibody used as a PET imaging agent. It consists of the humanized anti-mesothelin (MSLN) monoclonal antibody MMOT0530A labeled with the radioisotope zirconium-89 (89Zr). The drug is designed for immunoPET imaging to visualize and quantify mesothelin expression in tumors, particularly in patients with unresectable pancreatic cancer or platinum-resistant ovarian carcinoma. Mesothelin is frequently overexpressed in these cancers, making it a relevant target for both diagnostic and therapeutic strategies. Upon administration, 89Zr-MMOT0530A binds to mesothelin-expressing tumor cells and can be visualized using PET/CT imaging. This approach allows assessment of tumor targeting before treatment with related therapeutics such as DMOT4039A (an antibody-drug conjugate containing MMOT0530A). The agent has been evaluated in phase 1 clinical studies to determine biodistribution, pharmacokinetics, and correlation between tracer uptake and response to therapy[1][3][8].
