Overview

89Zr-NY001 is a radiopharmaceutical imaging agent consisting of the humanized monoclonal antibody NY001, which targets Glypican-3 (GPC3), labeled with the positron-emitting radioisotope Zirconium-89 (89Zr). Developed by Noile-Immune Biotech, it is designed for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging to detect and monitor GPC3-expressing tumors, particularly hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). GPC3 is a cell-surface oncofetal proteoglycan overexpressed in HCC but absent in normal adult liver tissue, making it an ideal target for both therapy and diagnostic imaging. By binding specifically to GPC3, 89Zr-NY001 allows for the non-invasive visualization of tumor burden and the assessment of target expression, which can help in patient selection for GPC3-targeted therapies such as CAR-T cells or antibody-drug conjugates.
