Overview

9-ING-41 + paclitaxel + carboplatin is a combination chemotherapeutic regimen investigated for use in solid tumors and hematological malignancies. 9-ING-41 is a small molecule, ATP-competitive **glycogen synthase kinase-3 beta (GSK-3β) inhibitor** which shows preclinical and clinical antitumor activity via downregulation of the NF-κB pathway, inducing apoptosis and cell cycle arrest, and modulating oncogenic signaling. Paclitaxel is a microtubule-stabilizing agent that induces mitotic arrest and apoptosis, while carboplatin is a platinum-based DNA-damaging agent. The combination is designed to improve cytotoxic effects and overcome chemotherapy resistance in cancer cells by employing multiple mechanisms of action: kinase inhibition (9-ING-41), microtubule inhibition (paclitaxel), and DNA cross-linking (carboplatin). Combination trials have targeted a spectrum of solid tumors and explored dosing schedules, especially in advanced or resistant cancers[1][3][9][5].
