99mTc-1-thio-D-glucose is a radiopharmaceutical agent that binds to glucose transport proteins (GLUT receptors). It functions similarly to [18F]FDG but uses technetium-99m as the radioisotope, making it suitable for SPECT imaging rather than PET. The compound has shown high labeling efficiency (>97%) and demonstrates higher stability at acidic pH compared to neutral and basic pH. It is being investigated primarily for tumor imaging, particularly in lymphoma patients.
