99mTc-HP-Ark2 is a novel radiopharmaceutical peptide probe designed for the noninvasive molecular imaging of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) expression in breast cancer. It is labeled with technetium-99m (^99m^Tc), enabling single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT/CT) imaging. The probe specifically binds to HER2, allowing for the visualization and quantification of HER2-positive tumors. Compared to previous probes such as 99mTc-H10F, 99mTc-HP-Ark2 demonstrates enhanced HER2 targeting capability, improved pharmacokinetic properties, higher tumor uptake, and better tumor-to-background contrast. Clinical studies have shown that SPECT/CT imaging with this agent correlates strongly with HER2 status determined by immunohistochemistry and can guide HER2-targeted therapies in clinical practice[1][2][8][10].
