Drug intelligence / Profile preview
99mTc-HYNIC-PSMA-11 is a technetium-99m labeled small-molecule radiopharmaceutical used for single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT/CT) imaging of prostate cancer. It consists of the hydrazinonicotinamide (HYNIC) chelating agent conjugated to the PSMA-11 targeting ligand, which binds with high affinity to the extracellular domain of Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA). Because technetium-99m is widely available and compatible with standard SPECT cameras, 99mTc-HYNIC-PSMA-11 serves as a highly accessible and cost-effective diagnostic alternative to gallium-68 or fluorine-18 based PET imaging agents, particularly in low- and middle-income countries or remote clinical settings.
