Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**99mTc-leu13-BN1** is a technetium-99m-labelled [Leu13] bombesin-like peptide developed as a SPECT scintigraphic radiopharmaceutical for imaging malignancies that express bombesin receptors. The tracer binds bombesin-family receptors, particularly the gastrin-releasing peptide receptor, enabling rapid localization of receptor-positive tumors and lymph-node disease. Clinical publications reported imaging studies in breast, colorectal, pancreatic, prostate, and small-cell lung cancers, as well as gastrinoma; a colorectal-cancer study reported high lesion sensitivity but limited specificity.
