Drug intelligence / Profile preview
99mTc-liposomal amphotericin B is an investigational inhaled SPECT/CT imaging tracer in which liposomal amphotericin B is labeled with technetium-99m. It is being used by Radboud University Medical Center to quantify lung deposition and intrapulmonary distribution after nebulization in people with chronic pulmonary aspergillosis, including comparison of pulmonary deposition with systemic amphotericin B exposure. It is a radiolabeled investigational version of liposomal amphotericin B intended for imaging drug delivery rather than for standalone antifungal treatment.
