Drug intelligence / Profile preview
99mTc-MIRC213 is a radiopharmaceutical diagnostic imaging agent developed by Peking Union Medical College Hospital for the detection of HER2-positive breast cancer. It consists of the radionuclide Technetium-99m (99mTc) conjugated to MIRC213, a targeting moiety that specifically binds to the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2). The agent is utilized in Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography/Computed Tomography (SPECT/CT) to non-invasively assess HER2 expression levels in primary and metastatic breast cancer lesions, facilitating the selection of patients for HER2-targeted treatments.
