9D8 CAR-T is an experimental chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy utilizing a nanobody-derived (VHH) binding domain specific for CD70. Developed for the treatment of renal cell carcinoma (RCC), the 9D8 clone was selected from alpaca immunization for its high affinity and specificity. Unlike traditional scFv-based CARs, the nanobody-based 9D8 CAR-T cells demonstrate enhanced cytokine production (IL-2, IFN-γ, TNF-α) and robust anti-tumor activity in xenograft models, including the ability to resist tumor re-challenge. The therapy aims to provide a long-lasting anti-tumor response by targeting CD70, which is highly expressed in RCC and associated with poor survival.
