Overview

A-04-01D is an inactivated monovalent influenza vaccine developed by Denka (formerly Denka Seiken) for the prevention of H5N1 avian influenza. The vaccine is designed to elicit an immune response against the hemagglutinin and neuraminidase antigens of the H5N1 strain of the influenza A virus. It has been evaluated in Phase II/III clinical trials in healthy Japanese adults to assess its safety and immunogenicity as part of pandemic preparedness efforts. The vaccine is typically administered via intramuscular injection and may be formulated with or without adjuvants such as aluminum hydroxide to enhance the immune response.
