Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A3 is a standardized botanical cannabis extract developed by BOL Pharma (Breath of Life International Pharma). It is formulated for sublingual administration as either medicated drops or tablets. The extract contains a specific ratio of cannabinoids, predominantly cannabidiol (CBD) and delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), typically in a 20:1 ratio. A3 is primarily being developed for the management of behavioral symptoms in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and for the treatment of neuropathic pain. Its mechanism of action involves the modulation of the endocannabinoid system, where THC acts as a partial agonist at CB1 and CB2 receptors, and CBD exerts multi-target effects including FAAH inhibition and 5-HT1A receptor agonism.
