Overview

A3-3A is a monoclonal antibody that selectively neutralizes the p40 subunit of the interleukin-12 (IL-12) family. While p40 is a component of the heterodimeric cytokines IL-12 (p40/p35) and IL-23 (p40/p19), research suggests that pancreatic cancer cells produce elevated levels of p40 monomers and p40 homodimers (p402). A3-3A targets these p40 forms to inhibit their role in helping cancer cells escape cell death, thereby promoting apoptosis in pancreatic cancer cells. It was developed for research in the context of the tumor microenvironment and immune evasion in pancreatic adenocarcinoma.
