Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A3D is an allogeneic cell therapy consisting of adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (AdMSCs), manufactured using Cell-Easy's proprietary CellReady® platform. Developed by CHU Toulouse in collaboration with Cell-Easy, A3D is designed to treat mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease. Mesenchymal stem cells are hypothesized to exert therapeutic effects through paracrine mechanisms, secreting neurotrophic cytokines that stimulate endogenous neurogenesis, as well as anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory factors that reduce neuroinflammation and target amyloid plaques. A3D is administered via intravenous infusion and is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1/2 clinical trial.
