**A49-Mel** is an investigational therapeutic peptide cancer vaccine formulation for newly diagnosed glioblastoma. It comprises a peptide epitope derived from **protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor type Z1** adsorbed onto synthetic melanin. The formulation is intended to induce PTPRZ1-specific antitumor T-cell immunity against PTPRZ1-expressing glioblastoma cells. In the NAVIG-1 study, A49-Mel is administered by subcutaneous injection during the Phase 1 dose-escalation component together with A52-Mel and the separately administered TLR9 agonist adjuvant litenimod.
