Overview

A7-FML is an investigational **magnetic resonance imaging contrast agent** comprising murine monoclonal antibody A7 coupled to ferromagnetic lignosite particles. The A7 antibody binds the colorectal cancer-associated antigen A7, promoting preferential accumulation of the iron oxide-containing particles in colorectal carcinoma xenografts; the magnetic particles reduce tumor MRI signal intensity and enable targeted lesion visualization. Public evidence is limited to in-vitro and nude-mouse xenograft studies in human colorectal carcinoma models. ([ncbi.nlm.nih.gov](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK23104/))
