A7R34 is a monoclonal antibody clone that specifically targets and blocks the alpha chain of the interleukin-7 receptor (IL-7Rα), also known as CD127. In research settings, particularly in murine models, it is used to investigate the role of IL-7 signaling in T cell development, homeostasis, and the formation of resident memory T cells (TRM). By binding to CD127, A7R34 prevents IL-7 from interacting with its receptor, thereby inhibiting downstream signaling pathways essential for the survival and maintenance of various lymphocyte populations. It is frequently employed in studies of autoimmunity, viral infections, and oncology to define the temporal requirements of IL-7 in immune responses.
