AANCP

AANCP (Aronia bioactive fraction-alginic acid nanocomplex) is a nanoparticle-based formulation designed to enhance the stability and efficacy of active compounds from aronia extract, particularly anthocyanins, in addressing Alzheimer's disease (AD)-related pathologies. It functions by suppressing inflammatory cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor-alpha and interleukin-6, activating triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cell 2 (TREM2)-related microglial polarization to increase microglial Aβ phagocytosis, and inhibiting the aggregation of amyloid beta (Aβ). Preclinical studies have demonstrated its effectiveness in neuroinflammation cell models and in alleviating cognitive impairment in scopolamine-induced dementia mouse models.
