Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AAV-KP1-CAG-tdTomato is a recombinant adeno-associated virus (AAV) vector that utilizes the engineered chimeric AAV-KP1 capsid and the CAG promoter to drive expression of the tdTomato fluorescent reporter protein. The AAV-KP1 capsid was selected for its high transduction efficiency in multiple cell types, including primary human islet cells, human embryonic stem cell–derived β cells, hepatocytes, cochlear cells, and renal proximal tubules. The CAG promoter is a strong synthetic promoter that enables high levels of gene expression in mammalian cells. This vector is used as a research tool for gene delivery and expression studies in various tissues and disease models.
