Overview
AB-02 is an investigational capsule cofactor formulation developed by ANI Biome (formerly ANI Biome PBC, now operating as ANI AI) in collaboration with Sheba Medical Center. Designed as a defined input for the ANI response loop, AB-02 is intended to support healthy aging and multidomain functional health by modulating microbiome ecology, metabolic flux, mitochondrial function, redox handling, and inflammatory signaling. In the ELITE healthy aging polytherapy pilot study—a randomized, open-label Phase IIa trial conducted at Sheba Medical Center—AB-02 was evaluated in combination with the fermentation-derived oral solution AB-01 and active multidrug regimens (metformin combined with either semaglutide or empagliflozin) in overweight or obese adults aged 50 to 80 years without diabetes. The study utilized high-frequency digital phenotyping and longitudinal multiomics to assess short-term changes in a muscular-immune-cognitive composite (MIC-C) score and individual response states.
