AB-110 is a code name associated with two distinct therapeutic programs from different developers. The first is a cell therapy developed by **Angiocrine Bioscience**, which consists of CD34+ hematopoietic progenitor cells (HSPCs) expanded ex vivo using the company's proprietary Engineered Endothelial Cell (E-CEL) technology. This product was designed to accelerate hematopoietic recovery and reduce cytopenia-related risks in patients with hematologic malignancies (such as AML, ALL, and MDS) undergoing umbilical cord blood transplantation. The second is a live biotherapeutic product (LBP) originally developed by **Axial Biotherapeutics** (and later designated **ABBV-WSH** following a partnership with AbbVie) for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. This microbiome-based therapy targets the gut-brain axis to modulate central nervous system (CNS) pathology. While the Angiocrine program reached Phase 1 clinical trials before being terminated due to priority changes, the Axial/AbbVie program has been evaluated in early-stage clinical development for neurodegenerative indications.
