Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AB-2 is a precision oncology program currently in the discovery and preclinical development stages at Algen Biotechnologies, aimed at treating advanced solid tumors. The program leverages Algen's proprietary AlgenCRISPR and AlgenBrain platforms, which integrate CRISPR gene-editing technology with artificial intelligence to identify novel therapeutic targets within oncogenic pathways such as MYC, RAS, and MYCN. Specifically, AB-2 is designed to target novel RNA components of these pathways. Algen Biotechnologies was established as a spin-out from the laboratory of Nobel Laureate Jennifer Doudna at UC Berkeley. As of late 2025, specific details regarding the drug's molecular modality and exact biological target remain undisclosed.
