Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AB-300 (Ariadne Bio-300) is a first-in-class, non-hallucinogenic serotonin 5-HT2A and 5-HT2C receptor agonist under development by Ariadne Bio, a company of Negev Labs. It is being developed to treat non-motor symptoms of Parkinson's disease (specifically apathy and motivational deficits) as well as late-life depression and neurodegeneration. In preclinical rodent studies, AB-300 reversed motivational deficits induced by the dopamine-depleting agent tetrabenazine, with effects comparable to the norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibitor bupropion. A Phase 1b clinical trial is targeted to initiate in Q3 2026.
