Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AB-3A4-ADC is a preclinical-stage antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed by Alethia Biotherapeutics for the treatment of solid tumors, specifically ovarian cancer and triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). The therapeutic candidate targets Kidney-associated antigen 1 (KAAG-1), a protein that is significantly overexpressed on the surface of various cancer cells while maintaining low expression in healthy tissues. By binding to KAAG-1, AB-3A4-ADC is internalized into the tumor cell, where it releases its cytotoxic payload to induce apoptosis. This targeted approach aims to increase the therapeutic index compared to conventional chemotherapy by minimizing off-target toxicity.
