AB-Anti-CD89 is a preclinical monoclonal antibody being developed by Arcus Biosciences in collaboration with Gilead Sciences for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. The drug targets CD89 (also known as Fc alpha receptor I), which is expressed on immune cells such as neutrophils and monocytes. By modulating CD89 signaling, the antibody is intended to address inflammatory pathways in patients with rheumatoid arthritis, including those who do not respond well to current standard-of-care treatments. This program is a key biologic component of Arcus's inflammation and immunology portfolio, which is largely comprised of small molecules, and Gilead Sciences holds option rights to the program under their strategic partnership.
