AB-CCR6

AB-CCR6 is a preclinical-stage oral small-molecule inhibitor targeting the C-C chemokine receptor type 6 (CCR6), currently being developed by Arcus Biosciences in collaboration with Gilead Sciences. CCR6 is a chemokine receptor primarily expressed on Th17 cells and other immune cells involved in the IL-23/IL-17 axis, which plays a central role in the pathogenesis of psoriasis. By inhibiting CCR6, the drug aims to block the migration of these inflammatory cells to the skin, potentially offering an oral alternative to the injectable biologics that currently dominate the psoriasis treatment landscape. The program is part of a broader inflammation and immunology portfolio where Gilead holds option rights to advance the candidates into further development.
