AB011 is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody targeting Claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2), an isoform of the claudin-18 protein that is overexpressed in certain tumors, particularly gastric cancer and gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma. By binding to CLDN18.2 on tumor cells, AB011 exerts immunostimulating and antineoplastic effects, potentially leading to tumor cell death through mechanisms such as antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC).
