Overview

AB054 is a recombinant monoclonal antibody developed by Aronora, a spin-off of Oregon Health and Science University, that targets coagulation Factor XII (FXII). It is designed as a best-in-class inhibitor to potently block FXII-mediated thrombin generation and the subsequent activation of the downstream inflammatory cascade. By specifically modulating the contact activation pathway, AB054 aims to treat thrombo-inflammatory conditions, acute cardiovascular events, and medical device-associated clotting without significantly compromising normal hemostasis. In 2019, XOMA Corporation acquired royalty rights to AB054 as part of a broader portfolio of hematology assets from Aronora.
