Overview
AB122 + TAS-120 + fluorouracil + carboplatin + cisplatin is a multi-agent investigational combination therapy researched for the treatment of advanced or metastatic solid tumors, including squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck, biliary tract cancer, and esophageal cancer[4][5]. - **AB122** (zimberelimab) is a fully human monoclonal antibody that blocks programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1), a checkpoint inhibitor on T-cells, thereby promoting immune response against tumor cells[1][2][4]. - **TAS-120** (futibatinib) is an oral small molecule irreversible inhibitor of fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR)[4]. - **Fluorouracil** is a cytotoxic antimetabolite interrupting DNA/RNA synthesis by inhibiting thymidylate synthase. - **Carboplatin** and **cisplatin** are platinum-based chemotherapies that induce cancer cell death by causing DNA cross-linking and preventing replication. The combination aims to harness both immunotherapy and targeted/chemotherapy modalities to enhance antitumor efficacy in populations with no prior treatment for advanced cancer[4].
