Overview

**AB160** is an investigational approximately 160 nm nano-immunoconjugate comprising albumin-bound paclitaxel nanoparticles noncovalently coated with the anti-VEGF-A monoclonal antibody bevacizumab. It combines paclitaxel-mediated microtubule stabilization and cytotoxicity with VEGF-A neutralization, using bevacizumab to preferentially direct the nanoparticle complex to VEGF-rich tumor tissue. Mayo Clinic conducted a phase I study in unresectable stage IV melanoma and gynecologic malignancies. The melanoma cohort showed no objective responses and was not considered suitable for further development, while the gynecologic-cancer cohort established a recommended phase II dose and showed clinical activity supporting further evaluation.
