Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ABA is an alpha radioligand therapy (ART) currently in the discovery stage of development by ARTBIO for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and pancreatic cancer. The therapeutic candidate utilizes the alpha-emitting isotope Lead-212 (212Pb) conjugated to a targeting ligand whose molecular target remains undisclosed. By targeting specific markers on cancer cells, ABA is designed to deliver high-LET (linear energy transfer) alpha radiation, which induces complex double-strand DNA breaks, leading to cell death while minimizing exposure to surrounding healthy tissues.
