Overview

ABB is an experimental alpha radioligand therapy (ART) being developed by ARTBIO. It utilizes Lead-212 (212Pb) as the radioactive isotope, which delivers potent alpha radiation to cancer cells. Alpha particles are characterized by high linear energy transfer and a short path length, allowing for the induction of complex DNA double-strand breaks while limiting damage to adjacent healthy tissues. ABB targets an undisclosed molecular marker and is part of ARTBIO's pipeline of 212Pb-based therapies for solid tumors. The program is based on the company's AlphaDirect platform, which aims to optimize the delivery and therapeutic window of alpha-emitting radiopharmaceuticals.
