ABBV-461 is an investigational small molecule inhibitor of receptor-interacting serine/threonine-protein kinase 1 (RIPK1), developed by AbbVie for the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. RIPK1 is a critical signaling node that regulates cell death (necroptosis and apoptosis) and pro-inflammatory cytokine production through the NF-κB and MAPK pathways. By selectively inhibiting the kinase activity of RIPK1, ABBV-461 is designed to suppress the inflammatory cascade and prevent tissue damage associated with conditions such as psoriasis. The compound has been evaluated in Phase 1 clinical studies to assess its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in both healthy volunteers and patients with plaque psoriasis.
