ABBV-553

ABBV-553 is an investigational small molecule drug that functions as a nuclear receptor ROR-gamma (RORγ or RORG) inverse agonist. It was initially developed by Inventiva and later co-developed with AbbVie for the treatment of immune-mediated diseases, primarily moderate to severe psoriasis. The drug targets the nuclear receptor subfamily 1 group F member 3 (RORγ), which plays a key role in regulating T helper 17 (Th17) cell differentiation and cytokine production, processes implicated in autoimmune and inflammatory conditions. By antagonizing RORγ activity, ABBV-553 aimed to modulate immune responses involved in diseases like psoriasis.
