Overview

ABBV-623 is an orally bioavailable small molecule inhibitor of the anti-apoptotic protein B-cell lymphoma 2 (Bcl-2), developed by AbbVie for the treatment of B-cell malignancies, including B-cell lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. By binding to and inhibiting Bcl-2, ABBV-623 promotes apoptosis in malignant cells, exhibiting potential pro-apoptotic and antineoplastic activities. Clinical development included phase 1 trials as monotherapy and in combination with other agents for patients with relapsed or refractory B-cell cancers; however, development has been discontinued[1][2][3][4].
