ABBV-706 + carboplatin is a combination therapy under investigation for advanced solid tumors, including small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and high-grade neuroendocrine carcinomas (NECs). ABBV-706 is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed by AbbVie that targets the seizure-related homolog 6 protein (SEZ6). It delivers a proprietary topoisomerase 1 inhibitor (TOP1i) payload via a valine-alanine linker with a drug-to-antibody ratio of 6, specifically targeting SEZ6-expressing tumor cells to induce cytotoxicity and tumor regression. Carboplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapy agent that forms DNA crosslinks, impairing DNA replication and leading to apoptosis. This combination aims to leverage the targeted cytotoxicity of ABBV-706 with the established antineoplastic effects of carboplatin. The combination is being evaluated in a phase 1 clinical trial for safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary efficacy in solid tumors, mainly SCLC and NECs[1][2][3][4][5].
