Overview

ABBV-787 is an investigational monoclonal antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed by AbbVie for the treatment of relapsed and refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The drug targets CD33, a cell surface antigen commonly expressed on AML cells, and is conjugated to a bromodomain and extra-terminal domain (BET) degrader as its cytotoxic payload. By binding to CD33 on leukemic cells, ABBV-787 delivers the BET inhibitor directly into malignant cells, aiming to induce cell death through inhibition of BET proteins involved in cancer cell proliferation and survival. The drug was administered intravenously in clinical trials[1][3][5][6].
