ABBV-838 + pomalidomide + dexamethasone

ABBV-838 + pomalidomide + dexamethasone is an investigational **combination regimen** evaluated in relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma. ABBV-838 is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) targeting CD138, conjugated to monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE), a potent cytotoxin that disrupts microtubule polymerization. Pomalidomide is an immunomodulatory agent that exerts anti-myeloma effects through direct cytotoxicity, T cell and NK cell activation, and inhibition of tumor-supportive microenvironment factors. Dexamethasone is a glucocorticoid that exerts anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor effects, commonly used to enhance the efficacy of other myeloma therapies. The combination aimed to assess potential synergistic anti-myeloma activity, but clinical trials were discontinued due to lack of robust efficacy for ABBV-838.
