Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ABBV-901 is an investigational antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) being developed by AbbVie for the treatment of folate receptor (FR)-positive solid tumors, specifically targeting ovarian cancer, fallopian tube cancer, and primary peritoneal cancer. The drug is designed to selectively bind to the folate receptor on the surface of cancer cells, allowing for the targeted delivery of a cytotoxic payload directly into the tumor cells while minimizing exposure to healthy tissues. ABBV-901 is currently in Phase 1 clinical development, where it is being evaluated as a monotherapy and in combination with bevacizumab, particularly for patients with platinum-resistant ovarian cancer.
