Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination therapy consisting of **ABBV-927** (a CD40 agonist monoclonal antibody), **carboplatin** (a platinum-based chemotherapy), and **budigalimab** (a programmed cell death protein 1 [PD-1] inhibitor monoclonal antibody). ABBV-927 activates CD40, a key costimulatory protein in the innate and adaptive immune system, enhancing T cell activation and proliferation. Budigalimab blocks PD-1, reversing immune suppression by tumors. Carboplatin interferes with DNA replication and induces apoptosis in dividing cancer cells. This regimen is being investigated, primarily by AbbVie, for the treatment of various advanced solid tumors, including metastatic pancreatic cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, and breast cancer[1][2][8][9].
