Overview

ABBV-927 + budigalimab is a combination of two investigational monoclonal antibodies developed by AbbVie for oncology indications. ABBV-927 (giloralimab) is an agonist antibody targeting **CD40**, a costimulatory molecule that activates both innate and adaptive immune responses, crucial for T-cell activation and proliferation. Budigalimab (ABBV-181) is a programmed cell death protein 1 (**PD-1**) inhibitor, acting as an immune checkpoint inhibitor to enhance anti-tumor immune responses. This combination is being explored primarily in advanced solid tumors, including metastatic pancreatic cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, and triple-negative breast cancer. Both agents are administered via intravenous infusion in clinical studies. The combination is used to potentially boost immune-mediated killing of tumor cells by simultaneously engaging costimulatory and checkpoint inhibition pathways[1][2][3][5].
