Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**ABBV-927 + carboplatin** is an experimental combination regimen comprising the investigational anti-CD40 monoclonal antibody **ABBV-927 (giloralimab)** and the platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent **carboplatin**. ABBV-927 is designed as a CD40 agonist intended to promote anti-tumor immunity by activating the CD40 pathway on antigen-presenting cells, thereby synchronizing the innate and adaptive immune response and repolarizing tumor-associated macrophages toward a pro-inflammatory, anti-tumoral phenotype[4]. Carboplatin induces cytotoxicity in tumor cells by forming DNA crosslinks, leading to cell death. This combination is being evaluated primarily in solid tumors, including triple-negative breast cancer and advanced pancreatic cancer, for its safety, tolerability, and efficacy[5][6].
