ABBV-969 is an investigational antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) being developed for the treatment of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). It is a first-in-class dual-targeting drug conjugate that targets two tumor-associated antigens highly expressed in mCRPC—prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) and six transmembrane epithelial antigen of the prostate 1 (STEAP1). The ADC delivers a topoisomerase 1 inhibitor payload to cancer cells expressing these antigens. By targeting both PSMA and STEAP1, ABBV-969 aims to address the heterogeneity of antigen expression in advanced prostate cancer, potentially improving efficacy over single-target approaches. The drug is currently being evaluated as monotherapy in Phase 1 clinical trials to assess its safety, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary efficacy[1][2][4][6].
