ABC-101

ABC-101 is a first-in-class oral secretory IgA (sIgA) monoclonal antibody being developed by the French biotechnology company ABCELY. The drug specifically targets carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), a cell surface glycoprotein that is highly overexpressed in a variety of digestive and mucosal cancers, including colorectal, gastric, and pancreatic cancers. Developed using the proprietary HAMIGA™ technology, ABC-101 is designed to remain stable within the gastrointestinal tract, allowing for oral delivery and improved penetration into mucosal tumors. Preclinical data in transgenic mouse models have shown that oral administration of ABC-101 can significantly reduce tumor mass in colorectal adenocarcinoma grafts. The program is currently in the IND-enabling (Pre-IND) phase of development.
