ABD-3171

ABD-3171 (also known as ABD-0171) is a second-generation small molecule inhibitor targeting aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A3 (ALDH1A3), developed by Advanced BioDesign. It is designed to treat aggressive solid tumors, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), triple-negative and HER2+ breast cancer, and colorectal cancer. The compound is an irreversible and selective inhibitor of ALDH1A3 with additional activity against ALDH1A1. By inhibiting ALDH, ABD-3171 aims to disrupt the survival and metabolic pathways of cancer stem cells, which are often associated with chemoresistance and metastasis. Preclinical studies have shown robust antitumor and antimetastatic effects, and it is being explored in combination with anti-PD-1 therapies for microsatellite stable (MSS) colorectal cancer.
